Reduce return temperatures
On the one hand, the eXergy machine is an effective „heat booster“ (see Increasing the flow temperature), while on the other, cold side, it works as a cooling system. And this is to the advantage of many systems. This is because a cool return flow to the heat source generally means that the source can operate with a higher degree of efficiency.
With Condensing boilers, Combined heat and power plants and solar thermal systems their efficiency increases and with combined Solar- and PV modules (hybrid modules), cooling leads to a higher electricity yield. Local heating networks benefit from lowering the so-called wetting agent temperatures, for example through lower pump output. And with the District heating supply the eXergy machine enables compliance with the connection conditions thanks to a cool return flow to the district heating connection point, even at times of low heat load.

District heating: Reduce return temperature and comply with connection conditions
e.g. in residential and commercial properties, hospitals, care facilities, barracks, educational centers, etc.
Many district heating operators place very high demands on the return temperature on the primary side. With the eXergy machine, you can ensure a return temperature of < 40 °C regardless of use (even in hot water-only mode and during circulation phases, i.e. times without hot water tapping).
Local heating: reduce return temperature and increase heat yield
e.g. in residential and commercial properties, care facilities, etc.
In order to operate local heating networks efficiently, network medium temperatures must be reduced and pump output kept as low as possible. This is where the eXergy machine helps, even if only hot water operation is required.
Condensing boiler: Reduce return temperature

Around 80 % of all installed condensing boilers do not run in ideal condensing mode. By lowering the return temperature, maximum condensing value utilization is always guaranteed.
CHP: Lower return temperature, reduce switching cycles and extend running times

In CHP units, the use of the eXergy machine reduces the return temperature so that the water returning to the engine is cooler. This increases the efficiency of heat generation and ensures adequate cooling of the CHP engine or its oil circuit and extends the switching cycles.
Solar thermal energy: increasing solar yield

The efficiency of solar thermal collectors is heavily dependent on the difference between the medium temperature in the collector and the ambient air temperature (collector heat losses). In addition, diffuse radiation does not achieve such high system temperatures.
The eXergy machine increases the collector efficiency and solar yield, enables the sensible use of solar thermal energy even with an unfavorable inclination or east/west orientation and eliminates the need for complex preheating stages.
PV hybrid collectors: reduce return temperature and cool PV modules

PV modules generate electricity when exposed to light, but electrical efficiency decreases as module temperatures rise. PV hybrid collectors dissipate the unwanted heat generated during electricity production and thus increase the electrical efficiency. Typical temperatures are in the range of 20 °C to 40 °C.
The eXergy machine lowers the return temperatures (used to cool the PV modules) and raises the low flow temperatures to a usable temperature level.
