The eXergiemaschine-pro is a heat pump system for optimizing existing or new heating systems, for example in industry and commerce, larger residential properties, mixed-use properties, schools, hospitals or hotels.

The eXm-pro is available with outputs from 5 to 40 kW.th available. It is connected to a heating water storage system and always provides a high temperature for the heat consumers, for example for preparing hot water or conventional heating systems, regardless of the heat requirement. It also ensures a cool return flow to the heat source, thereby increasing its efficiency.

At the same time, it ensures that the storage tank needs to be recharged less frequently in many applications. This minimizes wear and tear on the heat sources.

Possible applications of the eXergiemaschine-pro

In a heating system with a heating heat pump, the eXm-pro creates a double benefit:

On the one hand, it can raise the heat energy supplied at a low temperature to a temperature level suitable for water heating, thus making other reheaters (electric immersion heaters, gas boilers, etc.) superfluous.

The eXm-pro also cools the return flow to the heating heat pump, ensuring that the heat pump works at its optimum operating point and energy-intensive operating modes with a high outlet temperature can be avoided. This increases the seasonal performance factor of the overall system.

In residential properties or hotels with hot water circulation, the eXm-pro avoids unfavorable operating conditions in circulation mode, which would otherwise occur if there was little or no tapping. This is because the eXm-pro maintains the ideal temperature levels in the heating system even during long circulation phases. This means that the heat buffer cylinder rarely needs to be recharged.

When using the eXm-pro in conjunction with waste heat from e.g. chillers, the eXm-pro raises the waste heat, which is usually generated at a low temperature level of 25 to 45 °C, to a higher level, e.g. to ensure hot water preparation. At the same time, the efficiency of the chillers is increased by ensuring low recooling temperatures. Furthermore, the waste heat converted by the exm-pro no longer has to be dissipated by recoolers. There is therefore a multiple benefit here.

As a supplement to a heating heat pump, the eXm-pro offers the possibility of providing the temperature required for hot water preparation and thus replaces inefficient reheaters, for example electric heating elements or downstream electric instantaneous water heaters. The eXm-pro also optimizes the operating point of the heating heat pump and increases its efficiency.

The use of an eXergy machine results in a significant improvement in the system's annual coefficient of performance and therefore a considerable saving in primary energy.

In properties with a classic district heating connection or in a local heating network, the eXm-pro ensures a cool return flow to the transfer point. In this case, the eXm-pro is controlled with regard to the cooling effect of the return flow. This makes it possible to comply with the connection conditions specified by the heat supplier even in times of low heat load and low hot water demand and therefore, for the first time, no longer dependent on the user.

In a local heating system with a low flow temperature, the eXm-pro can provide a temperature level suitable for hot water preparation, thus eliminating the need for energy-intensive reheaters such as burners or electric heating rods. The eXm-pro also provides the local heating network with defined return temperatures, thus ensuring ideal operating conditions for the heat generation systems.

In combination with solar thermal systems, the eXm-pro extends the range of applications by raising the solar heat provided at a low temperature to a higher, more usable temperature level during the transitional season. By simultaneously lowering the system temperatures in the return flow area, the eXm-pro increases the solar thermal yield, as the collectors can already supply energy at lower collector temperatures.

With combined solar and PV modules (hybrid module), the focus is on cooling the PV-T modules, which increases the electricity yield; at the same time, the otherwise hardly usable waste heat from the PV-T collectors (too low temperatures) is made usable by the eXm-pro and fossil fuels are substituted.

Simple installation and operation

The eXergiemaschine-pro is a floor-standing appliance and is connected to the buffer storage system via four hydraulic connections on the rear of the housing.

A 400 V connection (three-phase) is required for the power supply, and a 230 V connection for the 5 kW version.

The eXm-pro is internet-enabled. It can be parameterized remotely, the operating data can be read out and alarm messages can be sent.
